At H+H Automotive, our passion for vehicles goes far beyond the showroom floor. It’s about the communities that bring these machines to life. That is why we are incredibly proud of our longstanding partnership with the Cornhusker Corvette Club (CCC). For years, we have had the privilege of supporting their vibrant events, and we always look forward to seeing their members shine at our annual All-Chevy Show, where they bring out their stunning classic Corvettes for everyone to admire.
Did you know? The Cornhusker Corvette Club has a rich history dating back to 1960. Founded by two young airmen stationed at Offutt Air Force Base, Gerald (“Jerry”) Sievers and Earl Lee, the club was built on a shared love for the Corvette. With the help of F. Jerome Given and early support from notable figures like actor Peter Fonda, the club hit the ground running and hasn’t slowed down since.
More Than Just a Car Club
Today, the Cornhusker Corvette Club boasts a roster of around 300 members. They are a fixture in the Omaha automotive scene, hosting or attending roughly 10 car shows annually. Their schedule is packed with activity, from weekly “Meet and Greets” at local restaurants to mystery cruises and weekend getaways to destinations like Colorado Springs, Branson, Kansas City, and Rapid City.
The club keeps things running smoothly with a 15-member board, while members gather on the third Thursday of every month for dinner, camaraderie, and club business. For those looking for a thrill, their Autocross Racing season is a highlight, offering competition for points, trophies, cash rewards, and, of course, bragging rights at the annual banquet.
Giving Back to the Community
While horsepower is a big part of the club, heart is the driving force. The Cornhusker Corvette Club is deeply committed to charitable work. Last year alone, they contributed over $12,000 to more than 10 charities, including St. Jude’s, Toys for Tots, and the Madonna Rehab Hospital.
